This Little Piggy Card

Today I am sharing this adorable little piggy card I made.  It was so much fun to play with the This Little Piggy stamp set.  It can be found on page 48 of the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalog.  If you are interested in receiving a catalog please let me know.  It is also available here at MyStampin' Up! page.

The background on the Whisper White CS was made using the new Marbled Background Stamp and Soft Sky Classic Ink Pad.  I just love how it turned out and how you can control the depth of the color by stamping off first.  This is a technique that is done by stamping on to a scrap piece of paper before stamping on to your card.  The Stitched Shaped Framelits give the cutest finishing touch, don't you think?!  It's hard to tell in the photo but I added some Clear Wink of Stella to make the wings shimmer just a little more.

Instructions
Please read through the instructions before beginning project.

1.  Score along the 11” side at 5 ½".  Fold and burnish with the Bone Folder.
2.  With the Soft Sky Classic Stampin’ Pad ink up the Marbled Background stamp and stamp off once.  Lay the Stamp down with the rubber stamp facing up.  Carefully lay the front of the card on top of the stamp, cover with a scrap piece of paper and firmly rub your hand over the paper to transfer the ink to the card.
3.  Using a post-it note cover the words on the Piggy stamp and ink the stamp with Classic Black Ink.  Remove the post it note and stamp the Piggy on the Powder Pink CS.  Cut out the Pig using the 2 5/8” stitched square framelit.
4.  Re-ink the stamp and stamp just the wings on the Shimmery White scrap piece of paper.  Cut the wings out and attach them to the Pig just stamped on the Powder Pink CS using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
5.  Take another post-it note and cover the pig leaving only the words showing on the stamp.  Ink the words with Night of Navy, remove the post-it note and stamp on the 3” x 1” scrap of Whisper White CS.  Punch out the sentiment using the Classic Label Punch.
6.  Adhere the Powder Pink Layer to the Pool Party layer then attach them to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals  about an inch from the top.
7.  Cut a piece of Burlap Ribbon to 4 1/2" and trim the ends with a diagonal cut.  Using Snail adhere the ribbon underneath the stamped layer then adhere the sentiment to the center of the ribbon.
8.  Stamp the inside sentiment using Night of Navy Classic Stampin’ Pad.

I hope you have just as much fun as I did creating this card.

Until next time, stay crafty :)
